	OBITUARIES Ronald Bruce Shamblin age 59 of Oxford, May 10, 2008. Predeceased by his father, Thomas B. Shamblin, who loved his son very much. Survived by his loving mother, Dorothy G. Shamblin, his uncles, Leonard L. (Jacqueline) Moses of Clarkston, Frank (Ann) Shamblin and Ross Shamblin of Tennessee, aunt Anita J. Davison of Gaylord and several cousins. Ron graduated from Oxford High School, Western Michigan University and Valparaiso University Law School. He served as Lapeer City Attorney for almost 30 years, was a past President of the Lapeer Bar Association, served as a member of the City’s Election Commission, Big Brothers and Big Sisters Board, and the Dupont Lapeer Airport Board. Ron was a private pilot and a founding member and Secretary of the “Dreams and Wings” program where pilots give plane rides to special needs children all over the state. He did this for over 10 years. Funeral from Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel, 39 West Burdick, Oxford was held on Tuesday May 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Interment Oxford Township Cemetery. Friends visited Sunday from 7-9 PM and Monday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM. Memorials may be made in memory of Ron to the Dreams and Wings program or Heartland Hospice. Howell, Noreen, age 71 of Metamora. passed away Thursday (May 8, 2008.) Noreen retired from Perry Drug Store (a.k.a. Arnold’s, now Rite-Aid) in Lapeer. She adored her grandchildren and the time she spent with them. She will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dennis. She was the loving mother of Terry (Allison) Howell of Grand Rapids, Rodney Howell of Grand Rapids, and Pamela (Al Rudolph) Baxter of Lapeer; beloved grandmother of Ellen, Jesse, Terry Jr., Dennis, Amy, Kelly, Anna, Randi, Brandy and Corey. She is also survived by many loving great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends. Memorials to the American Heart Association or Lapeer Hospice appreciated. Visitation took place on Saturday, May 10, 2008 from 5-8 pm and Sunday May 11, 2008 from 1 -3 pm and 5 – 8pm. Funeral services were held Monday, May 12, 2008, 11:00 AM. at Lynch & Sons Funeral Directors Bossardet Chapel, 39 West Burdick, Oxford. Interment Metamora Cemetery.
