NFDA President-Elect Pat Lynch is pictured with Finbarr O’Connor, Immediate Past President of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors at the Annual General Meeting of the Irish Association of Funeral Directors in Cork, Ireland on November 28, 2009.  About 250 people attended the annual banquet during which Mr. Lynch was able to bring greetings from NFDA and make presentations to the IAFD outgoing and incoming Presidents.  Mr. O’Connor is pictured wearing a medallion presented to him by NFDA President-Elect Pat Lynch signifying the esteem of the EB and members of the NFDA for the work he did as President of the IAFD.  In addition, newly installed IAFD, President, Jonathan Stafford who has a keen interest in continuing education for members of the funeral profession was presented a copy of “The Undertaking” Study Guide which NFDA produced following the airing of the Emmy Award winning Frontline Documentary.  Both men were delighted by the representation of NFDA at the AGM and indicated their intentions to attend NFDA annual convention next October in New Orleans.
