Don "Cheech" Morton
March 31, 1938 - January 18, 2011
Don “Cheech” Morton of Troy, died January 18, 2011, in Arizona. He was 72 years old. Mr. Morton was born March 31, 1938, in Detroit, to Beatrice (nee Meloche) and Lawrence Morton. Don proudly served in the United States Navy from 1956 until 1962. He was a dedicated insurance executive for over 40 years before retiring in 2009. Don enjoyed dancing, bowling and was an avid golfer. He will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
Mr. Morton is survived by his children, Jeff (Denise) Morton, Steve Morton, and Teri Gallagher and grandchildren, Jacob, Jacqueline, Sean and Madeleine. He is also survived by his siblings, Teri Wyman and Larry Morton and friend, Pat Sargee.
Friends may visit at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 1368 N. Crooks Road (between 14-15 Mile Rds.) Monday 1-8pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home, Tuesday 10am. Interment in White Chapel Cemeter, Troy.
