My best wishes are with your family. I know they sorely miss you. We all loved you so much. You were a great light in this world and now we are lucky to have you for one of our angels.

Linda Parsons

Please accept my heartfelt sympathy. Judge Boyle and I were appointed judges at the same time by Governor Milliken, thus I felt close to her. Prior to our appointments I had the privilege of being co-counsel with her on a federal case and I can attest to her superb legal intellect and graciousness.

Judge Theresa Doss

The blessing that Patty requested that I say at the conclusion of the Special Session of the Supreme Court of Michigan for the presentation of Patty's portrait that now is displayed in the Supreme Court Chamber, "May the Lord bless you and keep you: The Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious unto you: The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace." As Patty lived her life to hear these words, she has now heard the only two words worth living for: "Well done."

Rev R John and Coventry Harris

My sincere condolences to the family. What a class act she was! I got to know "Patty" and Terry while serving on the criminal rules committee back in the '80's. Compassion, wisdom, patience, great intelligence, fun sense of humor ... she had it all. She was just a great model for any of us judges to follow. She will be remembered as a giant in the history of the justice system in this state.

Michael Haley

Please accept my condolences regarding the loss of Justice Boyle. As a trial and appellate lawyer, I am familiar with her enormous contributions to the bar and the bench. She graced the profession, and will not be forgotten. By coincidence I am also board chair of Neighborhood Legal Services of Michigan (NLSM), and am deeply touched to note that NLSM is mentioned at the close of the obituary. We deeply appreciate the reference. Take care, and God bless.

Although I did not have the privilege of serving on the Court at the same time as Patty, I came to know her as the result of countless social and professional meetings, and I came to respect her as the result of countless judicial opinions that she crafted so thoughtfully and intelligently. I am very proud to sit on a court that Patty distinguished for so long, and I wish her family my sincerest condolences at this difficult time.
