I am deeply shocked and saddened at the loss of Greg! I worked with him in the 1980's at the Highland House. Back then I was known as Duke, not as I'm known now as Scoop, and he was one of the nicest people I've ever worked with! I knew he had the potential to do great things in the restaurant business, and he became a legend! Greg's death proves that the adage is true, That It Isn't Quantity, But Quality. Morris Had 9 Lives, We Have To Make The Most Of The 1 We Have! My thoughts and prayers go out to the entire Nicholas family and I hope you rest in peace Greg! Danna, I just spoke with Rick last night and was told the news. I am very sorry for your loss. I have been following his path since July thru Rick and just cant believe it still. I golfed with him once and saw him at Rick's 50th. He seemed like a kind gentle giant. I am deeply sorry and wish for your family all of our prayers....

Dear Daena, Elia, Zackary & Katina, There is absolutely nothing I can say that will ease the pain the four of you must be going through. What I can tell you is that I knew Greg since he was 15 years old, and he never, ever let his incredible success in business, his skills on the golf course, or lifes struggles effect his sweet and caring demeanor, one way or the other. There was not one single once of conceit in this mans body! He was confident, cool, tough, strong, competitive, competent, bright, caring, considerate, and so much more. But most of all, Gregory was a total GUY, and I truly loved being around him. Daena, remember the couple of nights the three of us spent wining and dining in Miami Beach years ago? To this day, it is one of my fondest memories of my time in south Florida - with anyone, and I am so happy to have been able to count him AND you as friends. So, if I may...stay strong together, knowing how much you were loved, protected and cherished by Greg...cause I know he was your rock. And whenever you get the blues, just remember that on this earth, he was a man who understood what is - is in this world. And handled the problems one faces going through this thing called "life" as good, or perhaps better than anyone I have ever known. How fortunate the four of you were to have such a great man as a husband, father, and at the end of the day, best freind for the time he was with you. I was pround to call him my friend, and I will miss him dearly. Love, strength, and Gods blessings will see you through this. My love and thoughts are with each one of you. May God bring peace and calm to your oh so very private storm. With love, Steve Steve Vidakovich
